Megjegyzések:Many sports organisations operate as non-profits, but the emphasis and role of for-profits in this sector cannot be avoided. Today, sports activities are connected to the business sector and generate profit, hence, sports sector is a decisive part of the economy. Sport profile companies differ in their organisational strategy formulation approach. The main focus was to learn more about their strategy approach and market behaviour. 350 sports business organisations were involved in a survey of 3,248 companies, and the Chi-square test, variance analysis, and principal component analysis were applied to the sample. Results showed that 75.7% of the responding sports companies had no written strategic plan. The availability of written strategies seemed to depend on the organisation`s scale. The market-following behaviour was confirmed in the case of smaller sports enterprises. Fitness service providers appeared to follow a market-leading behaviour. Growth, investment, and development naturally emerged as essential factors for companies with higher sales revenue and operating sports facilities, and they were relatively less important in sports goods production and trade. Most of the results showed that in the sports business sector, large-scale organisations focus on strategic-related issues more than other players in the industry.

Megjegyzések:The major goal of this study is to trace the emergence of SFC-related research across time, using a thematic map and a list of corresponding publications. In addition, this study aims to determine the author who has made the most significant contribution to this particular field. This study provides a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the historical development and current trends in sustainable food consumption research, examining 2265 articles published between 1990 and 2023. Using the bibliometrics package of R Studio software version 4.2.1 and its Biblioshiny package, articles from the Scopus and Web of Science databases are examined. In the field of sustainable food consumption, we identify five distinct research phases: initial stagnation, infant growth, post-economic crisis, expanding phase and COVID-19 and post-pandemic. While research on broader sustainability topics can be traced back to the early 20th century, a very limited number of articles on sustainable food consumption was published in the 1990s. However, the number of publications increased incrementally over time, with a notable uptick in interest around 2015, and the subject was still being discussed in 2022. The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic marked the beginning of the most recent phase of research, which analyzed the consumption patterns of consumers before and after the pandemic. Our study highlights key authors, documents and sources related to sustainable food consumption. The United States, Italy and the United Kingdom emerged as the most active contributors to the research on sustainable food consumption and were additionally the countries with the largest global market shares for organic products. Major sub-themes including organic food, food waste, sustainable development and food security, together with consumer behavior and organic products appeared as being the most researched sub-themes of recent times. The results of this study suggest that more research is related to sustainable food consumption in countries with a low organic food market share. In addition, the investigation of actual data on food waste, carbon footprints and greenhouse gas emissions resulting from food production and consumption is essential to gain holistic insights.

Megjegyzések:This study introduces the Limen Experiences in Tourism Scale, a paired-percentage instrument that operationalises Turner`s liminal-liminoid framework as five bipolar continua ExplorationFamiliarity, Freedom?to-Constraint, Freedom?from?Routine-Attachment, IndividualismCollectivism, and Personality?Change-Status?Quo. Validation with 2,432 adult travellers from panel and university samples confirmed a stable five-factor structure and revealed clear age gradients: respondents aged?18-34 located themselves over twenty percentage-points nearer the liminoid pole on both Freedom continua than those aged?65+. The scale enables destinations to pinpoint visitor positions - for example, 60?% Exploration?/?40?% Familiarity - and design calibrated offerings that range from "guided discovery" itineraries for ambivalent explorers to ritualised group formats for liminal seekers. By empirically demonstrating that liminal and liminoid coexist as measurable degrees rather than discrete states, the findings also resolve a long-standing conceptual divide in tourism studies. Generalisability remains constrained by the Hungary-centric sampling frame; future research should replicate the continuum across diverse cultural contexts and test how positional scores predict behavioural and affective outcomes.

It assesses how these clusters influence stakeholder engagement strategies and decision-making across local, national, and global scales. The analysis reveals synergies and divergences between ML and EL, emphasizing their combined potential in addressing the socio-economic and environmental facets of sustainability. The findings highlight the importance of collaborative ML and EL efforts in fostering systemic change underscoring the pivotal role of local actors in multilevel governance for sustainable development.

Megjegyzések:There is growing literature on the concept and objectives of corporate sustainability (CS), but less attention is paid to a comprehensive approach to economic, social and ecological factors and industrial revolution (IR). Specifically, this paper contributes to the academic debate on the relationship between CS and IR in agri-food economics using firm-level data. The study used quantitative pathway models to measure the extent to which technologies aect the development of social, ecological and economic factors in Hungarian food manufacturing companies. The research was conducted using partial least squares path modeling (PLS-PM) and categorical principal component analysis (CATPCA) to calculate the direct and indirect eects of IR technologies on profitability outcomes. This study has shown that the livable and sustainable path hypotheses can be confirmed. Consequently, the food manufacturing businesses whose managers think along the viable and sustainable lines tend to be more profitable. However, the ecological and economic factors strengthened the positive impact of the social dimension on food corporate profitability. Decision-makers should not wait for a pie in the sky for emerging sustainability but consciously embrace the CS issues that only provide a direction for the changes

Megjegyzések:This study explores the relationship between environmental attitudes and actual behaviors among demographic groups in Central Europe, with a particular emphasis on the well-documented "attitude-behavior gap." Despite widespread concern for environmental sustainability, individuals often fail to act in accordance with their stated values. Drawing on a nationally representative Hungarian sample of 1,014 respondents, we examine how gender, education, and settlement type influence both the internal endorsement of environmental values and the external enactment of sustainable practices. Employing principal component analysis and comparative statistics, the study identifies distinct patterns in environmental attitudes and behaviors, revealing systematic variations across demographic profiles. Women, individuals with higher educational attainment, and urban residents consistently display stronger alignment between attitudes and actions, particularly in areas such as waste management, energy use, and conscious consumption. In contrast, rural populations and those with lower education levels exhibit larger gaps, often endorsing pro-environmental views without corresponding behavioral engagement. Notably, the largest discrepancies occur in behaviors requiring infrastructural support or economic investment, such as the use of renewable resources or organic products. Beyond individual-level differences, the findings suggest that environmental engagement is shaped by broader socio-economic and infrastructural contexts that either enable or constrain behavioral expression. This underlines the insufficiency of awareness-raising alone, and calls for structural policy measures that reduce barriers to sustainable action. These findings underscore the contextual constraints that inhibit behavior despite favorable attitudes, challenging assumptions of behavioral universality in environmental psychology. The results affirm the need for targeted interventions that address both structural barriers and demographic realities. The study contributes to theoretical models of environmental behavior by distinguishing between attitudinal and behavioral pathways and highlights practical implications for policymakers, educators, and sustainability advocates. Demographically tailored strategies may prove essential in narrowing the gap between ecological awareness and everyday environmental action.

Megjegyzések:2021. év végén jelent meg egy cikk (Kotaku.com, 2021) arról, hogy a japánok a világ mindeddigi legjobb video játékának a Nintendo konzolokra kiadott Zelda legutolsó kiadását választották. A játék megjelenése magával hozta a Nintendo új konzol generációját képviselő Switch eladásainak felpörgését. A Nintendo Switch, és a platformra elérhető játékok messze nem képviselik a konzolgenerációk csúcsát, mégis olyan impozáns társadalmi és gazdasági statisztikákkal rendelkezik a konzol a piacon, mely nyilvánvaló hiányosságai ellenére még a kétkedőket is meggyőzte arról, hogy a nagyteljesítményű csúcskonzolok mellett igenis helye van a Switch különféle verzióinak, és a töretlen népszerűségnek örvendő játékoknak is. A tanulmányunk célja annak feltárása, hogy konzolokkal játszó gamerek/játékosok maguk milyennek látják a konzolt és játékaikat, miféle erősségeket és gyengeségeket látnak a játékosok, és vajon mi az oka annak, hogy a Switch és játékai olyan nagy népszerűségnek örvendnek.

Megjegyzések:A sportszociológia a társadalom egy tradicionálisan nem szokványos alrendszerének törvényszerűségeit vizsgáló tudomány. E tudomány szocializációs értelmezése a sport terén azt a folyamatot jelenti, mely során a sportban is szokásos és meglévő normákat, szerepeket elsajátítjuk. A szocializációnak számos ágense lehet, melyek egy bizonyos sportágra történő szocializációt is meghatározhatják, ugyanakkor egy tágabb értelmezésben itt a család, oktatási intézmény, kortárscsoportok és a média mellett helyet kaphatnak az intézmények, a sportszervezetek, formális/informális szerveződések és akár kevésbé látható, rejtett tényezők is. Míg előbbiek viszonylag jobban kialakult és meghatározott szociológiai kutatási részterületek, utóbbiak kutatása kevésbé kiforrott. A helyi sportlehetőségek, sportszokások, a manifeszt és látens sportinfrastruktúra a sportszocializáció lényeges elemei, melyeket feltárva és feltüntetve kaphatjuk meg a különböző területi szintre vonatkoztatott sporttérképet, mely kiindulási alapot adhat a társadalom és a sport viszonyának feltáráshoz, illetve sportfejlesztésekhez. A tanulmány célja ennek a sporttérképnek nevezett, alkalmazott kutatási módszernek a konceptualizációja és operacionalizációja, majd pedig alkalmazásának bemutatása egy Hajdú-Bihar megyei járáson keresztül. Az eredmények arra utalnak, hogy a módszer és annak alkalmazása nem csupán a helyi sportviszonyokat tudja specifikusan bemutatni, de maga a kutatás is rávilágít a települések közötti sportszocializációs lehetőségek különbözőségére, rétegződési viszonyokra, sőt rendszerbeli anomáliákra is.
