This research delves into the intersection of education, social attitudes, and financial security in later life, shedding light on the potential of education to mitigate ageism and promote pension participation. Understanding the factors that influence attitudes toward aging and retirement is crucial for developing inclusive policies and interventions to support older individuals and enhance their financial well-being. By conducting surveys considering the people of Khulna district as the target audience, this research has been able to find out the important issues in pension and its impact on ageism. The study explores the relationship between pension participation, ageism, and social activities among individuals, particularly focusing on the influence of feeling undervalued, agerelated barriers, and pension engagement. Demographic analysis reveals that pension recipients tend to be older, have higher education levels, and larger families compared to non-recipients, indicating potential factors influencing pension eligibility and social dynamics. Attitudes and perceptions regarding ageism and social activities vary, with both pension recipients and nonrecipients experiencing similar levels of age-related stereotypes and barriers to employment. Correlation analysis highlights significant relationships between feeling undervalued, retirement income importance, age barriers to employment, and belief in pension systems reducing ageism. Policy recommendations include promoting inclusive social activities, enhancing financial literacy, addressing age-related employment barriers, promoting supportive family networks, investing in education, and skill development to combat ageism and ensure financial security during retirement. Higher education levels are associated with a greater understanding of social issues related to aging and increased participation in pension-related activities. Comprehensive policies and interventions are needed to address age-related barriers and enhance financial security among older individuals.

Megjegyzések:
The financial system is now changing due to internal and external pressure of stakeholders towards environmentally responsible banking. The current study examined the nexus between green banking, risk management, and profitability on environmental performance for 2014-2023. The data was collected from the Fitch Solution databank in Malaysia using a non-probability purposive sampling method. The total observation was 210of 21 samples. Prior to the regression analysis, thisstudyconducted a diagnostic test. Hausman test was performed to select a model, either a fixed effect model or a random effect model. The findings revealed that liquidity, interest rate, and income diversification positively and significantly affect environmental performance. In contrast, the results showed that green banking (GBRNK) is the most integral factor when evaluating environmental performance. However, the results indicate that GBRNK significantly impacts environmental performance in the Bangladesh banking industry. Moreover, bank risks, such as credit and management efficiency, have a negative and significant relationship with environmental performance. On the contrary, profitability, such asROA and ROE, has a positive and significant impact on environmental performance. These findings offer numerous insights into the banking strategy, regulatory policy, and future research directions to address the implementation of green banking practices. This study also verifies the use of institutional theory in the context of green banking.

Megjegyzések:
In this multifaceted, dynamic business world, leadership success and effective decision-making are highly dependent on understanding and controlling emotional intelligence (EI). In this multifaceted world of work, the integration and strategic useof emotional intelligence (EI) drives change and facilitates proactive and effective decision-making. The study aims to examine the direction and degree of relationship that exists between EI and proactive decision-making using one of the public service institutions in Ethiopia, the Ethiopian Customs Authority. The study uses a quantitative and correlational design utilizing a structured survey administered to a randomly selected sample of 156 employees. The study applied statistical analysis techniques, including correlation and stepwise regression analysis, to determine the strength and significance of the relationship between EI and proactive decision-making. Research has examined how and in what direction EI competencies (emotion perception, regulation, and utilization) influence features of proactive decision-making. The result accentuates that Emotional intelligence emerges as a critical driver, accounting for a substantial proportion of the observed differences in individuals' ability to make proactive decisions. Grounding on the findings, the study highlights the necessity of integrating EI training programs into organizational development strategies to enhance employees' decision-making capabilities, adaptability, and resilience in dynamic workplace environments.

The study aims in analyzing the role of workplace stressors on occupational stress levels. A descriptive and explanatory research design has been used. A mean scale as a measure of central tendency was used to explain the existing situation. Correlation and multiple regression have been implemented to measure the association of variables and the stress level prediction ability of the constructs. A random sampling technique was used in determining the sample size. Mainly primary data is collected through a structured questionnaire and distributed to people online through Google form. Occupational stresses have shown a strong and significant association with stress constructs. The cumulative prediction ability of the constructs is stronger on the occupational stress level of the organization. Social support and job control are inversely associated with occupational stress levels. However. role ambiguity and role overload have a direct relationship with the magnitude of occupational stress.

For every organization, innovation is an everyday combat for excellence demanding commitment. Innovation and the practice of engagement linked intricately, with employee engagement playing a key role as a fundamental precursor in nurturing creativity and innovation within the place of work. The study aims to explore the synergistic effects of job responsibilities, social support, and job features on employee engagement in promoting innovation. With the use of a structured survey, quantitative data about job characteristics, perceived social support, job responsibility, and engagement levels was gathered from a broad sample of employees. The results show how these factors are intricately related to one another, and that positive aspects of the work, such task diversity, autonomy, and feedback, are associated with higher levels of engagement and creative contributions. Strong social support networks that foster cooperation and mentorship are also positively correlated with heightened engagement. The practical consequences of these findings for businesses seeking to foster innovation and creativity via engagement include the need for thoughtful job design, robust support networks, and balanced task distribution.

Megjegyzések:
The rate at which students in universities abroad are blending their studies with work calls for an in-depth investigation to find out if indeed it is possible to balance work, studies and social life and whether it leads to the attainment of WHO-5 well-being goals. This study investigates the motives, challenges, available support options, and impact of work-study life balance on WHO-5 general well-being among international students studying in Hungary.125 respondents obtained through random sampling in social media groups of international students were subjected to an online survey. Descriptive and regression analysis was done using SPSS while psychological well-being was measured using the WHO-5 questionnaire. Findings indicate that work-study balance significantly and positively contributed to an average WHO-5 Wellbeing index among international student workers. It was also discovered that motives for working while studying also significantly and positively affect the WHO-5 wellbeing of international students. Higher education institutions and employers should develop policies, frameworks and functioning counselling systems with critical consideration of factors that drive students to engage in employment while working abroad. Special counselling units within multicultural institutions should be established to offer real-time social support to protect international students from stressors arising from an unfamiliar environment that pushes them into depression. Timely access to counselling services will enable international students to achieve healthier WHO-5 well-being.

Leveraging social media for social protection: addressing the challenges of international students abroad / Daniel Kibet Koech, Esayas Demissie Degago, Edina Molnár

Megjegyzések:
Study abroad experiences often present significant challenges that can lead to stress and emotional upheaval among international students. In response, social media networks have emerged as vital tools for accessing social protection services in today's digital landscape. This study explores the role of social media in providing emotional, informational, instrumental, and appraisal support for international students at foreign universities. Anchored in social learning theory, the findings reveal that social media networks have a substantial and positive impact across all four dimensions of social protection. This study highlights that students' activeness and perceived utility of social media are critical factors in seeking emotional, informational, instrumental, and appraisal support. Interestingly, while the reliability of social media is crucial for those seeking instrumental and appraisal support, it is less important for those seeking emotional and informational assistance. Additionally, the degree of challenges faced by students abroad is found to be significant for those seeking emotional and informational support, but this factor plays a lesser role for those relying on social media for instrumental and appraisal support.

Language barrier impedes team performance among employees working in a multilingual environment. Guided by the Technology Acceptance Model this study seeks; to determine the effect of machine translators on team efficiency, collaboration, trust building, and training among students on work-study jobs in Hungary. International students (N=105) from the University of Debrecen participated in the study. Findings indicate that machine translators significantly and positively contributed to team performance by boosting efficiency, collaboration, trust, and training. Every unit increase in use of Machine Translators translated to a corresponding increase in team efficiency, collaboration, trust, and training: a significant finding that indicates their instrumental role in breaking the language barrier in a linguistically diverse workplace. This study recommends the full adoption of machine translators to bridge the communication gap arising from language barriers in any multicultural environment consisting of multi-lingual team members.
