Megjegyzések:	ABSTRACT:Imposter syndrome is a psychological condition in which high-achieving individuals doubt their accomplishments despite objective evidence of their success. Its prevalence is becoming increasingly importantamong university students. Although imposter syndrome affects both domestic and international students, prior research has focused predominantly on domestic populations. Therefore, this study examined the prevalence of imposter syndrome and its associations with demographic factors and academic performance among international students (N = 221). Data were analyzed using frequency distributions, ttests, and correlations. The findingsrevealed that while most students (58.8%) reported low to moderate levels, a considerable proportion (41.2%) experienced frequent and intense imposter feelings. Among Asian students, imposter syndrome was significantly associated with gender, friendships with locals, and Hungarian language proficiency. For African students, it was negatively related to academic performance. These results underscore the prevalence of the imposter phenomenon among international students and highlight the need for targeted interventions and support systems.

Megjegyzések:	The increasing global mobility of students has heightened the need for deeper insights into the psychological and sociocultural adaptation processes in host environments. This study examines the adaptation experiences of 447 international students in Hungary, focusing on the interplay between psychological and sociocultural dimensions of adaptation. Using a cross-sectional design, the study explores how sociodemographic variables, such as gender, age, education level, local friendships, and financial sources, influence adaptation levels. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis reveals that sociocultural adaptation significantly predicts psychological adaptation, underscoring the importance of social integration in fostering overall well-being. The findings suggest that targeted institutional support addressing sociocultural challenges can enhance students' psychological resilience, contributing to their academic and personal success. This research advances the understanding of intercultural adaptation and provides actionable recommendations for policymakers and educational institutions hosting diverse student population

Megjegyzések:	Mental health problems commonly prevail among international students as a result of acculturative difficulties. In light of this, the study attempted to determine the role of cultural intelligence, age and prior travel experience on acculturative stress and depression and also whether acculturative stress mediated the cultural intelligence-depression relationship. 506 international university students studying in China completed a battery of tests assessing their cultural intelligence, acculturative stress and depression. Cultural intelligence showed significantly negative correlations with both acculturative stress and depression. Students' prior travel experiences and age also significantly correlated with both acculturative stress and depression. Acculturative stress mediated the relationship between cultural intelligence and depression. Implication, limitations and future study directions were discussed as well.
