Megjegyzések:A few research is known about the role of parents in mentoring, even though their involvement is essential for success. We interviewed teachers (in the roles of teacher and mentor) about mentoring in schools and the parents' role in it (N=45). Research questions captured 1) interpretations of mentoring, 2) supportive and inhibiting factors in parental involvement in mentoring, and 3) mentors' attitudes. Results highlighted the diversity of teachers' interpretations and the very weak role of parents in these. Teachers need more support from professionals in dealing with parental issues. Among the teachers' attitudes (official-distancing, empathic-paternalistic), one (the partner attitude) sees parents as a partner, who are a resource for the school mentoring.

Megjegyzések:Among the continuous challenges facing the world of education, the question is how teachers can renew themselves, what competences they have to be able to serve the continuous needs of the age. In the interviews with teachers, we tried to identify the motivational factors established by the literature, and we were curious about what factors influence whether someone becomes an innovative teacher. All this knowledge can be useful information for teacher training, and they can help to develop an incentive system for teachers in the field, preventing them from leaving the field. During our empirical research, we analyzed 24 interviews Atlas ie. with the help of Our question is what are the motivational factors that enable teachers to make appropriate professional decisions and that their pedagogical problem-solving ideas and innovations do not remain isolated data. We investigated which motivational factors can be identified as drivers or barriers to the development of innovations.

Megjegyzések:The network approach to higher education research called our attention that the social capital of students, faculty and the institutions themselves has strong impact on academic outcomes. There has been very little research on the internal relationship networks of researchers. Through relationships within the academic community, individuals gather information and incorporate values that influence their career. These networks also contain strong ties, which develop from day-to-day cooperation in academic life, e.g. relationships of co-authorship. Relationships of co-authorship are worth looking at from the following points of view: how open or closed and how stable they are, whether they involve a narrow or a broad circle and whether they reach beyond the boundaries of academic tribes. When we intent to give an overall picture of a significant network in Hungarian educational researchers, we based our analysis on the Hungarian database of academic publications.
