Megjegyzések:	As a result of the traditional regulations and riverbed constructions at urban sections of rivers and streams, their ecological performance is largely reduced. At the same time, however, thanks to the expanding ecological approach in all walks of life and to the altered social demands during the past decades, there is an ecological wing also in the water management. In numerous European cities aims experimental projects the reconstruction of urban watercourses. To harmonize the goals of nature and landscape management with the goals of regional development and to grade social expectations and demands means, of course, dealing with conflicts. The success of this projects depends not only from ecological engineering and correct planning, but also from the demonstrative power of NGO-s, and other social groups, which represent the restoration idea. The examples of Budapest and Vienna express the meaning of the different social environment. In Vienna exist already visible results of restoration at the Danube, the Wien-river, and the Liesing-stream, butin Budapest are only planned some restorations for the Rákos-stream.
