Megjegyzések:	The reason for having chosen this topic is the fact that more attention has been paid onperformance management and motivation in Hungary recently.Performance management aims at different goals at the same time: gives feedback to theemployee on his/her own achievement, points out the weaknesses in his/her development,provides an opportunity for determining the tasks for the upcoming period and can beconsidered as the basis of motivation as well.Providing incentives and extra benefits are related to the motivation and acknowledgement ofemployees. Financial compensation has an extremely significant role in motivation. However,this is not the only means of motivation, since if management is able to motivate employeesaccording to their own value systems, it can be much more motivating than money. Suchgoals can be self realization, development, appreciation.Providing performance incentives is based on a previously determined performance level. Itaims at improving corporate performance, and in order to achieve this purpose, it motivatesemployees, increases their loyalty, strengthens the achievement-oriented corporate culture,differentiates based on achievements, helps in organizing and retaining performance-orientedworkforce.The aim of the present publication is to reveal the connection between performancemanagement and motivation at the examined organizations. The compiled data have beenprocessed electronically, have been displayed using graphical devices and statistical methodshave been applied in order to reveal correlations.
