Megjegyzések:	The most of the currently used communication devices (e.g. notebooks, tablets, mobile phones) have many network cards, but they are forced to use only a single interface for a communication session as the actually used IP technology allows only a single-path communication between the endpoints, using the IP address of the network card as the identifier of the communication session. Investigating the possibilities of using multiple interfaces and paths simultaneously in a communication session is a hot research topic today: moving from the single path communication technology to the multipath environment can highly improve the network performance (e.g. throughput, network layer roaming and reliability). In this paper we give a short overview of the current results of the multipath research areas. We also introduce a multipath communication software library (MPT), which was developed at the Faculty of Informatics, University of Debrecen in Hungary.
