Megjegyzések:When teaching the area of polygons teachers often recognize, that pupils just blindly learn the formulae of the area of different polygons. However, there's no real understanding behind the formulae. This can be remedied with using some well known games: the ancient Chinese tangram, and other tangram-type games and matchstick puzzles. In the present work we show, how we can use these games to reach a deeper understanding of the properties of area and periphery.
