Megjegyzések:Spectral synthesis deals with the description of translation invariant function spaces over topological groups. In this work we deal with the case of discrete abelian groups. A pioneer result of M. Lefranc states that spectral synthesis holds for finitely generated discrete abelian groups. Later R. J. Elliot made an attempt to extend this result to any discrete abelian group. Unfortunately, Elliot's proof has some gaps which have not been filled yet. In this work we present a new approach to prove spectral synthesis for arbitrary discrete abelian groups.
