Megjegyzések:The aim of this work was to verify whether the salt stress increases or not the the level of the main cyclic hydroxamate, DIBOA-content of rye. Plants were grown on nutrient solution according to Treeby et al. (1989). The salt stress was produced by addition of 100 mM NaCl to the nutrient solution. The quantity of DIBOA was determined according to Long et al. (1974). As a result of salt stress the DIBOA-content of shoots and roots increased significantlx in case of the examined varieties. This result can be considered another proof of the stress metabolite function of cyclic hydroxamic acids.
