Megjegyzések:	DIMBOA (2,4-dihydroxy-7-methoxy-2H-1,4-benzoxazin-3-on) is the main cyclic hydroxamic (cHx) acid of maize. These types of compounds are secondary metabolites of cereal crops. In our earlier research work we established that hypoxia, salt stress and osmotic stress increase the level of cHx-s in experimental plants. The aim of this research was to examine whether another abiotic stress factor - UV-B stress - increase or not the DIMBOA-content of maize. The pot experiments were carried out in greenhouse, so the UV-B radiation was provided naturally, and the lack of it was produced by shading plant with UV-B filter plastic foil. One group of plant was covered with UV-B filter plastic foil from the start to the end of the experiment, the second group was not covered at ell, and the third group was covered to the age of 8 days. We examined the DIMBOA-content of experimental plants at the age of 8,9 and 11 days. We established that as other earlier examined stress factors, the UV-B stress also increase the DIMBOA-content of experimental plants. According to these results cHx-s are considered stress metabolites.
