Development of intercultural and communicative language competence with the help of Slam Poetry In my essay I would like to point out that Slam Poetry, a modern literary phenomenon, is really suitable for the development of intercultural and communicative language competence. The main topic of my article, the introduction of Slam Poetry in language teaching, is based on the consideration that in order to increase the effectiveness of language learning in schools it is inevitable to renew the practice of foreign learning teaching, apart from the compulsory core curriculum the introduction of teaching - learning methods which take the age factor and interest of the students into consideration.
