Megjegyzések:	Youth leaving school or dropped out from school before time, especially youth with multiply disadvantaged situation can easily find themselves on the periphery of society. In recent years, numerous solution proposals were born, however, based on the examination of the advantages and disadvantages, experts concluded that none of them had proved effective. It is debated where the catching-up work and the vocational training of the dropped out youth should take place. According to the followers of the traditional school, the solution lies in the enlargement of the present school system, while the opponents of it, in the schools offering the ?second chance" schools. The lists of pros and contras are based on different approaches and different environmental conditions. The topic is not new, but it is actual and deserves studying even nowadays, because low education and dropping out of school is a problem not only in Hungary but also in all European countries, and it is not only an individual (micro-level) problem but also a social (macro-level) problem. The school reintegration of the youth and providing them with a qualification are a composition of such multi-actor and combined tasks and measures which we cannot be explored without investigating the reasons for the lack of opportunities of the youth dropped out from school and the institute system for the creation of opportunities. The "second chance" school is such an institute for creating opportunities which, besides the school reintegration, promotes the decrease of the disadvantageous situation of the associated persons, the increase in self-evaluation and the widening of labour market opportunities, which is the inevitable basis for active citizenship. For demonstrating and corroborating my topic, I endeavor to use the most possible secondary literature, sources, methodological descriptions and statistical data and to apply them comprehensively.
