Megjegyzések:In the first part of this current study, we present the essential milestones and determining individuals of the genesis of the Salon culture in Berlin, by featuring the historical back ground. Considering the number of salons in Europe, behind Paris, Berlin was the most significant location in the 18th century, however the salon culture of Berlin developed under deeply different social and historical framework. The strong social criticism and emancipa tory perspective characteristic for the Berlin salons evolved from the cultural salons founded by Jewish women, and these salons also served important scene of female emancipation and tuition. The second part of the study describes the recent blossoming era of Berlin salon culture from the mid 1990's, by presenting some of the modern salon culture's important locations. In the cultural life of the Hungarian diaspore the Berlin Salon has been providing a social space and opportunity for the Hungarians living in the city to nourish their cultural identity. The last part of the study delineates the story of the Berlin Salon.
