Megjegyzések:	On 1 August 1405 Anna of Celje (Cilli), wife of Nicholas Garai (+1433, palatine of the Hungarian Kingdom), issued a charter in Siklós (Baranya county, Hungary). With this document she revealed the dowry she received from his father, Hermann of Celje (Cilli). The purpose of this paper is to summarize the biographical datas of Anna of Celje, to publish her German letter and to describe the seals of the charter. The course of life of Anna of Celje can exemplify what was expected from an aristocrat woman in medieval society. She was the second most powerful woman in the country after his sister, Barbara, who was the queen. Several questions emerge: How did she manage the estates? How was she involved in nationwide cases? What kind of her records could survive the last six hundred years? How could she present her identity through her seal?
