Megjegyzések:	Hackathons are increasingly popular as tools for large companies to findsolutions for problems in dealing with ever increasing amounts of open/big data.The idea is to help find new ideas by linking different data sources in newcreative ways, so that new applications for the use of such data are found. Thisis usually done in meetings with teams that get a limited amount of time tocome up with a solution and if possible even a prototype. A creathon has asimilar setup as a hackathon with some differences: a creathon is usually morefocused on societal challenges and not necessarily a data driven event. PotentialIntellectual Property developed during the event will remain with the team thatworked on it, and will be supported by the local entrepreneurial ecosystem(Bazen, 2018). This article discusses the theoretical foundations of bothhackathons and creathons and briefly comments on effects of participation insuch events on past participants, using examples from literature and a pastproject in the Netherlands. The article test the hypotheses that creathons aremore gender and age inclusive as compared to regular hackathons and have amore lasting effect on entrepreneurial intention of its participants.
