Megjegyzések:	Laboratory experiments were conducted to study the effects of some fungal isolates and strains on pre-conditioned Striga seeds, simultaneously prior to GR24 at 0.01 or 0.1 ppm on germination of witchweed seeds. Soil borne Fungi were isolated from Striga-infested or non- infested sorghum fields in Sudan. Twenty three fungal isolates and strains were selected on basis of their ability to enhanced Striga germination in response to GR24. The results revealed that fungal isolates show differed effect on Striga germination. The results revealed that application of Si34, Si23 and Ai 41isolates on pre-conditioned witchweed seeds significantly suppressed germination in response to GR24. They reduced germination by 28.6, 52and 70%, respectively, as compared to the medium control. However, isolates Ai 50, SF18 and AF4 increased germination by 37.3, 43.5 and 52.5 as compared to the corresponding control in response to GR24. Seeds conditioned in water or un inoculated medium displayed high germination. This study indicates that some microorganisms could be employed as antagonistic to Striga.
