Megjegyzések:In international comparison the competitiveness of Hungarian beef sector is rather weak, which is originated in the unfavourable natural conditions, but the possibilities of development and expansion are available. The maintenance of the sector fit well to EU subsidy priorities, rural development programs, in this way it deserves greater attention from agricultural economic aspects. The authors summarise the results of this sector referring to the past decade. Besides the evaluation of previously announced economic results, the authors emphasise the analysis of economic hazards (determining the value of price-, cost-, and income risk). In the course of analysing the results of the examined period is evaluated by considering opportunity costs and propose recommendations related to consolidation of the sector.
