Megjegyzések:Students are best prepared to function and learn well if they can use previous knowledge as a conceptual support in the learning process, i.e. when the subject matter is known and they possess the linguistic competencies to handle the introduction of additional knowledge in a subject area. Where there is a deficiency in either subject or linguistic competencies, pressure rises, and the efficiency and efficacy of teaching drops, as well. In other words, handling new subject matter presents a great enough challenge to many students, but without proper and adequate linguistic and subject area preparation, the ability of students to handle new subject matter presented in a foreign language is at best questionable. This paper explores several problems LSP students learning communication skills exhibit and ways to remedy these in the future.
