Megjegyzések:	Are there any similarities between a mass demonstration and an abandoned construction site? What connects the scaffolding of a monument during its renovation to the panorama of a cityscape struck by a natural catastrophe? What brings a street festival and an abandoned industrial building reminiscent of its own age like a dinosaur onto common ground? These seemingly differing situations can be systemized in a meaningful pattern if one uses the model of provisions to analyze them. The phenomenon of ephemeral, temporal and provisional, that connects these examples with each other. These examples are those types of functional and visual extremes which are, on one hand, the part of the city's everyday life, but on the other, yet they appear nothing more than wryly tolerated inconveniencies for the everyday city user. The provisional situations that usually illustrate a natural urban development often seem to be patches that nobody prides of in the time of competing cities. These phenomena often appear as the visual consequence of a strong idea about the future, therefore one can declare that the provisions are the main characteristics of the living city.
