Megjegyzések:The need for geothermal energy consumption increases continuously. Its reason is not only the continuous decrease of fossil and nuclear energy resources but the environmental pollution occurring during their consumption and the consequent climate change. Hungary is rich in geothermal energy because of the position of the country. The life cycle assessment (LCA) of systems using geothermal energy is necessary because in this way the energetic, environmental and economic effects of these systems will be recognisable. Due to the result of the assessment, the environmental effect of the geothermal system as a system using renewable energy resources is comparable with the environmental and economic effects of other systems using renewable and non-renewable energy resources. LCA pieces of software are applied to increase the efficiency of assessment. These pieces of software contain data of numerous industrial processes and different methods of environmental impact. In this paper we examine the applicability of LCA pieces of software in respect of geothermal systems.
