Megjegyzések:	Having experienced an expansion in higher education the next step ought to be harmonizing labour market needs with the educational content and it should be a shared role of governments, companies and training institutions as they all benefit from thorough needs analyses. A stronger interrelationship between the local economy and higher education could contribute to assisting students in finding employment. The knowledge of foreign languages, especially technical language skills, is a key element in employability. The paper examines the foreign language skill demands of employers in the North Great Plain region of Hungary. Required language levels, principles and tasks applied in the foreign language part of the recruitment process have been analysed.
