A lot of problems arise concerning the control of flatness and profile of rolled strip duringmanufacturing. In the course of rolling of shape true strip which is free from internal deformationstresses - i.e. flatness strip - it is necessary to know the main reasons of the developed flatnessdefects. The flatness of strip made by cold rolling is in a close relationship with the roll gapdeveloping during rolling. The calculated values of rolling parameters shall be compared with theobtained experimental results. There is a range where the length of strand is not constant along thewidth of sheet but the sheet is flat. In order to demonstrate it, a measurement device has beendeveloped by which the aforementioned problem of flatness can be solved in experimentalcircumstances.
