Megjegyzések:	Majority of the literature accept the fact that globalization affects the welfare state. According to the great mass of these authors, governments face a double jeopardy, demand for expenditures grew but at the same time the sources pf receipts diminished. The welfare states responded unlike to the same challenge of globalization, however, numerous examples show that reforms are indispensable anywhere. The primary aim of this paper is to give a descriptive introduction of two different directions via the example of Sweden and France. While the Swedish welfare system has come through remarkable reforms, which have ameliorated its performance, in France radical changes have not occurred.
