Megjegyzések:The North Great Plain region does not belong to the key areas of the renewal of Hungarian industry after the change of the regime, and in this respect there is not any difference between the 1990s and the period after the millennium. The industrial restructuring of the region (strengthening machine industry against other industries) follows the trends in Hungary, but the significance of the leading industrial sector is smaller, meanwhile the traditional food and textile industries have a greater weight in the industrial structure of the region, than in the case of Hungary. In most of the settlements in the region industrial employment decreased significantly in the years following the change of the regime. The most important industrial activities are still concentrated in county centres and their immediate environment even today, but due to a dynamic growth in the past two decades the significance of the 'industrial triangle' in the Jászság area has also become regionally important.
