Megjegyzések:The antiphlogistic effect of aurothioglucose was examined in reversed passive Arthus reaction, delayed-type hypersensitivity and carrageenan oedema. A close association existed between the antiphlogistic effect of aurothioglucose and the pathogenetic role of polymorphonuclear leukocytes. In reversed passive Arthus reaction and in carrageenan oedema the drug decreased the inflammation considerably, whereas in delayed hypersensitivity, where the leukocytes play a less important part, it exerted only a mitigating effect.
