In this article, an attempt was made to make a survey of the switches in typological changes that have occurred in the presentation of issues in "other" love in the mainstream of Polish literature. Before 1989, the main problem was searching otherness on the basis of heroesư sexual identity in the pure biological sense of this problem. For the past 20 years, the authors have paid attention to the social and psychological background aspects of being lesbian or gay in a more comprehensive way.
