Megjegyzések:	This paper shows an efficient way of calculating the optimal course for sailing vessels based on their polar tables. After the introductory part, the first section describes the method of optimizing the course if the polar table of a vessel is known. The second section shows the difficulties of determining the polar table. The third section introduces the identification algorithm of the boat in which we determine the polar table using two-dimensional polynomial regression, based on real-time measurement data. The fourth section shows our prototype system on Android smartphones.
