Megjegyzések:	The results of testing the algorithmic skills of thefirst year students of Informatics of the University of Debrecen isthe main concern of this article. It was found that, in general, thestudents arriving from high schools have not developedalgorithmic skills and have false view about Information andComputer Sciences. The most devastating results arrived fromthose students who passed middle level graduation exams inInformatics. They are those students who have only developedsurface structural metacognitive methods, and have notdeveloped deep structural metacognitive methods, which areneeded to solve programming tasks.
