Megjegyzések:	System change, started in 1989, affected greatly Hungarian agriculture. Privatization of the resources and the appeared new forms of businesses meant that the circumstances of the production would change either. Compensation, privatization transformation of cooperatives, losses in domestic and foreign markets, decreasing profitability of production and reduction of agricultural employment resulted difficult situation in the agricultural economy at the same time the performance of other parts of national economy was also decreasing.A small region of Nagykálló statistic region was examined in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County which was situated in the Middle-Nyírség. Eight settlements, Balkány, Biri, Bököny, Érpatak, Geszteréd, Nagykálló, Kállósemlyén and Szakoly were studied. Main feature of the examination was to analyze the production output of big firms before and after the system change in the statistic region of Nagykálló. Based on the statistical data of 1988 and 1989, seven cooperative and one state farm were analyzed to characterize the situation before the system change. Moreover the status of the successor firms, one corporation, one limited company, and eight new-type cooperatives was examined based on self-collected data. Monitoring of these firms was justified not just because of the economic importance but the insufficient domestic and regional statistical data after the system change. Therefore the value of directly collected actual data of the time period was appreciated.It is found that the firms with greatly reduced value of production are under liquidation or bankrupted. After the system change many successor organizations were formed with questionable economical viability because of the lack of means of production mainly land. The results of a value analysis showed that the output of production successor organizations also decreased. As a consequence of former obsolete industrial structure and diminishing agricultural production unemployment sky-rocketed abruptly.
