Megjegyzések:The author observed four species of fritillary butterflies in June 2011 in the Botanical Garden of University Debrecen. The most important feature of the observation is that Argynnis niobe has occured in the area after ten years of absence. Additionally, the protected Argynnis pandora has became a constant member of the Hungarian fauna following its range expansion. The species has started to reoccupy the area in the past two decades. A constant member of the local fauna is the Issoria lathonia and Argynnis paphia has only sporadic occurrences in the area. Clossiana selene has disappeared from Great Forest of Debrecen as a result of desiccation of wet meadows and overall warming trends. The same reasons might apply for the population decline of Boloria dia. Both species was absent from the botanical garden.
