Megjegyzések:	The dairy sector is one of the most significant and problematik branch of the Hungárián food industry. It is significant becausethe whole dairy sector gives em p lo ym en t fó r m a n y workers com pared to otherfields o fth e agri-food industry, a n d on the otherhand, the produced m ilk products represent considerable a m o u n t o fa d d e d value. It is a problem atic branch because num erousearlier studies have proved th a t the dairy sector has an asym m etric w ay ofp rice transmission.We have m ade scientific investigation in connection w ith theoretical a nd practical approaches towards the m arketing channelo f m ilk a n d dairy products w ith special em phasis on the coordination m echanism s in 2005-2007. In b ehalf o f this investigationwe have carried o u t such an em pirical experim ent which fo cu sed on the contracts between m ilk producers a n d dairyprocessors, as well as between processors a n d retailers.We have collected inform ation about the sam e to p icsfro m both p a rts in connection w ith generál statistical data, generál a ndspecific p a rts o fth e contractual relations, bargaining power, relations w ith partners, obtaining inform ation as well as appliedm arketing a n d logistics strategies.As a result ofth ese sem i-structured interview s we h a v e fo u n d very interesting a n d strange aspects o fu n b a la n ced m a rkét power,supporting our basic hypothesis and according to which the processors are in a vulnerable, inferior situation com pared toretailers. However, an increased econom y ofscale m ight im prove the processors' bargaining p ow er against retailers, who try todecreaseprices. A good exam ple at increased concentration is represented by em ergingproducers' organisations an d g ro u p s aswell (e.g. A lföldi Tej K ft.), which are present on higher levels w ithin the chain (processing, export).
