Megjegyzések:	This paper tries to analyze the history of the relationship between Gabriel Bethlen and the Transylvanian Saxons from the point of view of the "constitution history". During his principality serious changes took place concerning the mentioned parties' relationship and the behaviour of the Saxons towardsthe Prince. Th e paper focuses on the most important events of Bethlen's principality - only asexamples -, which are examined on the privileged reference basis. Besides, their "legal historical" portionthat refers to the special legal status of the Saxons in the contemporary Transylvania will also be analyzed.In this overview it is almost impossible, of course to trace the dynamism of all the privileges and public law obligations of the Saxons, which originate from Diploma Andreanum (1224). Th us, we can only investigate some phenomena that mark the era related to the relationship of the Prince and the Saxons.
