Megjegyzések:This paper analyzes if the different results of Ghana's and Ivory's similar reaction to the debt crisis affected by the two countries different institutions. Ghana's structural adjustment was a success, but Ivory Coast achieved just little fundamental change. But examining the growth-inducing institutions were not found any evidence to accept the hypothesis. During the colonial period the two countries' rule of law were different, but this difference pass away at the end of the eighties. If the formal rules and the informal rules mismatch, there won't be any favourable effect of the effective legal system. Accordingly we must reject the hypothesis.
