Megjegyzések:	The factor V Leiden mutation (V506 Arg-Glnmutation in blood coagulation factor V gene) isassociated with resistance to activated protein C(3). Mutation of factor V is associated with thromboembolicdisease in neonates. Here we report anewborn infant who is heterozygous for factor VLeiden mutation and who developed renal veinthrombosis and inferior vena cava thrombosis.This suggests that the factor V Leiden mutation isan important cause of thrombosis in this neonateand underscores the potential importance ofscreening for this mutation in cases of inferior venacava thrombosis among newborns
