Megjegyzések:Several aspects of teacher's speech may get into the focus of research: school is students' second second socialization medium and related to this it plays an important part in decreasing the deficits of chance and prejudices. As it is seen from the other side, communication is a working tool for teachers, a well constructed lecture has a positive impact on students' cognitive level as well. Despite this relatively little research on native language is carried out worldwide and only few teachers take part in a training of articulation and rhetoric. Fundamental changes can be expected in Hungary from 2013 September in this aspect: a ministerial decree on the five-year (one level) teacher training, preparing teachers and the output as well as training requirements of teaching majors, specifies educating lingual skills, including the improvement of practical communication, articulation, rhetorical and spelling skills, as a criterion.Present research taking this as a starting point, reveals that in the fields mentioned above how students taking part in teacher training consider their knowledge, what sort of education they have previously recieved and in what areas they would require further training even throughout several semesters. During the analysis attitude to teachers' speech and the style of gender have been examined and it has also been investigated at which level of education according to students improving native language skills should be a primary task.During the research undergraduate (Bachelor) and graduate (Master) teaching major students at Debrecen University have been asked. According to our results students with masculine majors consider themselves less prepared in communication and rhetoric, at the same time it is them who think lingual competence should not be improved in higher education. Compared to this two - thirds of students thought that grammar lessons at secondary school did not contribute to the improvement of communication skills.
