Megjegyzések:In this study we examine ways of the formation of virtual communities and some of their features. After reflecting on the properties of virtuality and reality, we will attempt to find answers to some questions: are the groups that we consider virtual really virtual and are the 'single groups' (defined by human etiology) linked to these as an individual or as a group? In September 2010 it appeared on the news that Harrisburg University of Science and Technology has banned the use of social networking and media for a week for its students, and they were only permitted to use e-mail. The director of the institution, Eric Darr wanted to draw attention to the fact that students have become dependent on social media. The ban was also a scientific hypothesis, so he intended to ask the students to write an essay about their 'exile' a week later. According to the news the students took the idea with mixed feelings. There were those who thought they would easily withstand the ban, while others expected 'withdrawal symptoms'. One of the declarant said that he had already faced his addiction and fall out of the habit voluntarily. An expert - who remained unnamedin the news release - said that although the experiment was a bit extreme, the risk that social media contacts override true friendship actually exists (médiainfo.hu 2010).
