Nous allons rappeler l'intér©etde la radiothérapie de fa₀con générale, et évoquer quelquesquestions ouvertes en reprenant des études récemmentprésentées en 2010 ℓa l'ASTRO (American Society for RadiationOncology). Par ailleurs, de plus en plus d'efforts sont consentispour prédire le risque personnel de rechute. Le but de cettedémarche est, bien entendu, de s'abstenir d'une radiothérapiesans pour autant prendre de risques inconsidérés. Nous allonsévoquer la méthode des nomogrammes et le profil géniqueet discuter de leur valeur respective sur la base des donnéespubliées.SU MMARY : Adjuvant radiotherapy after surgery is a?well-established standard? in routine clinical practice forbreast cancer. Nevertheless, a variety of questions still remainunanswered. We intend to illustrate the overall importance ofradiotherapy in breast cancer and highlight some unresolvedquestions by quoting presentations recently made at ASTRO-2010. More and more emphasis is put on the idea of an individualapproach. Predicting the individual local recurrence riskis the search for the "Holy Grail". Methods such as nomogramsand genomic profiling are currently tested but need to be validated before their widespread clinical application.
