Megjegyzések:	I have been teaching mathematics for fifteen years in different types of secondary grammar schools in Hungary.Until the year 2005 there was an "old" school leaving examination. In that, first and foremost it was asked for"poor" mathematical problems. For example, the problems with exponential and logarithmic functions were tosolve equations, inequations or maybe equation systems, but never a "real life" problem. In 2005 there was areform of the school leaving examination, and since then the commission that prepare the exercises try to givereal life problems, too. In the new schoolbooks this new concept of teaching mathematics can be seen, but thelatest, modern instruments like graphical calculators or computers play little role.In my developmental experiment I used the computer and the software GeoGebra from the beginning as modernvisual instruments to support the learning and understanding process of the pupils. We used the software in thelessons and at home too, sometimes the pupils had the opportunity to do the homework with it. During the 33lessons I used this mostly in the introduction phase, by the functions and their transformations, and for solvingexponential text exercises. I measured the efficiency of this way of problem solving and tried to realise for whichtypes of exercises computer visualisation can provide support, and for which types it cannot.
