Megjegyzések:	Temperate forest grow between the tropics and the polar regions in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Temperate forests include a mix of trees that belong to three main groups: deciduous-, coniferous trees and broad-leaved evergreens. This paper are focusing to the deciduous forests in Europe. Firstly, the paper summarizes forest monitoring and changes of the european forest area during last decades. Secondly, we would like to give an overview of the observed across Europe country forest decline. In Europe, forest decline is in general associated with a complex of biotic and abiotic stress factors, and we summarize these factors without completeness. Therefore, this paper presents a review on the researchs of the tree-ring and of the forest fire.
