We can give lot of examples in ourworld it is needed for instance in architecture, in mechanical engineering life (gear-wheels, twist drills,etc. Forexample the hyperbolic paraboloid can be made with straight lines. We can make it by the help of a sheet and wool.The aim of the members of the Department of Basic Technical Studies is to show for the students in the secondaryschools that in an ideal case an engineer has precise knowledge about the mathematical backgrounds.
