Megjegyzések:	In the professional discourses the question arises from time to time: how to increase the proportion of men in the teaching profession. This study examines characteristics and career choices of male teachers, in the frame of gender studies and professional theories. The results show that teachers' career decisions are strongly influenced by gender and educational levels, while the impact of other factors is barely perceptible. Teachers basically follow a feminine strategy, meaning that most of them have more than one degree, but they all are on the same (college) level. The kindergarten teachers have one or more special professional exams, but there is usually no real career path: the proportion of those who have a university degree does not even reach 10 percent. On the other hand, the male teachers see their profession as an academic career: they have a higher degree, they get a new university diploma twice as much as women, and the PhD degree is twice as much considered possible by them.
