Megjegyzések:	The article is based on a survey examining companies located in Hungary and applying double book-keeping. My primary concern is the factors affecting the use of internal information system of companies, in the kind of systems they use and the reasons why they use them. The study is also concerned with the method of examination, the criteria of selecting the companies and the results. The question seems inevitable whether such an examination aimed at agricultural informatics "makes sense" at all. My chief aim with this article is to call attention to this marginal sector from the aspect of informatics and to the difficulties of such a research. I do hope that the research may be the beginning of a more complex examination, which could extend beyond Hungary's borders, and which could help those working in the agrarian sector and those in charge of making decisions with a viable model.
