Megjegyzések:The present paper scrutinizes an interview conducted with a key participant of the Hungarian legislative procedure regulating GMO production by applying the tools of ethnomethodological conversation analysis. It addresses the issues to what extent the speaker identifies himself during the interview with the categories stemming from his profession, how further categories become relevant, how he positions himself overall in communication, what attributes he assigns to his own position, and what role the questions posed by the interviewers play in this process.
