Megjegyzések:	The Marathon Spot Spring fertilizer is an organic fertilizer, containing thermally traeted poultry manure together with ammoniun sulphate. It is supposed that an organic buffer complex is produced during the heat treatment from which ammonium is available for the plant immediately and also slowly, in accordance with the nitrogen demand of the plant, avoiding fast nitrification and leaching of nitrate. The higher percentage of nitrogen uptake as ammonium shoud lead to rhizosphere acidification, thereby improving availibility of phosphate and micro-nutrients. Fertilizer input is reduced due to the slow release characteristics. The appearance of a short field lawn with a stronger and denser sod, and a better and deeper root development is supposed to be supported. However, the postulated modes of action have not been characterized in detail.
