Megjegyzések:	The Mordvin neologisms in the light of the Bible translations In Russia, the Finno-Ugric people and languages present situation much de-pends on the language planning and cleaning the languages which are in the position of vulnerability from the Russian elements. Creating dictionaries, Bible translations and writing textbooks are the most important means of this process. In my paper, I examined the "religious vocabulary" in the first three chapters of the Erzya translations of the Gospel of Luke from 1889 and 1996 from an etymological point of view. The examined 26 lexemes show the follow-ing picture: from the 14 Mordvin words in the old translation seven words have not changed, one has got a new suffix, and six words have been replaced with new but still Mordvin words or phrases. The translators of the new version have replaced the 12 Russian words/phrases with Mordvin words/ phrases except one. Only one Russian originating lexeme has remained in the new text. Overall, the new text has become more homogeneous and "more Mordvin".
