Megjegyzések:	The nonprofit sector, especially civic organizations play an important role in the social and even the economic life. We have conducted a research in 2010 to reveal the importance and pracice of basic managerial tasks, and the subject of decision making, as a managerial task inside was also included. This research included survey with the participation of civic organization managers, and deep interviews, with experts of the civic sector. Results indicated that it is relatively easy to establish a civic organization, but to maintain organizational activity and the organizational management proved to be hard for managers. Managerial functions in most organizations are quite often poorly performed. Of the managerial functions of Fayol (1918), organization and planning are considered to be most important by civic managers. The importance of decision making is relative low. The recognition of decisional situation is usually happened by private perception of managers and indication of members/voluneteers. Decision making is mostly influenced by private experiences.
