Megjegyzések:In Hungary, several types of care are available to treat diseases in the health care system. Medicinal water facilities in spa towns with social insurance support are part of this structure. The aim of the research is to explore the spatial inequalities and polarisation of medicinal water facilities with a social insurance support, according to importance, using secondary research methods, based on the data provided by the health care institutions and available at the National Health Insurance Fund of Hungary. The research results show that the spatial polarisation of medicinal water facilities of different importance in Hungary shows significant inequalities. Our results may help the work of decision-makers of medicinal water facilities in spa towns in the post-COVID re-launch of medical tourism. The study is a partial report of a larger study.
