Megjegyzések:Beer is one of our oldest alcoholic beverages, consumed all around the world. In some countries with a great history of brewing, the annual consumption per capita can reach 100 litres. The parameters of the raw materials are extremely important, because they determine the characteristics and the composition of the final product, such as mineral contents. In this study, the element contents of 24 commercial beer samples have been measured, and for those which have NRV (Nutrient Reference Value) values announced by 1169/2011/EC regulation (K, Ca, P, Mg, Zn, Cu, Mn, Se, Cr, Mo), a calculation has been carried out to get information about beer's contribution to our nutritional needs. The samples can be divided into 4 groups: pale barley, dark barley, pale wheat and dark wheat. The analysis of element contents has been carried out by the method of Kovács et al. (1996) by using ICP-OES and ICP-MS. According to the results, dark barley samples contained the highest concentrations of the analysed elements in general, and lower element concentrations could be observed in pale barley samples. K was the most abundant element, followed by P. The sample richest in K could provide almost quarter of human needs, and in case of P this value is even higher, some samples could even provide half of the NRV value. On the other hand, the efficiency of beer consumption in Ca supplement is not considerable. As for the microelements, the results were various. In most cases they do not provide elements in mentionable concentrations, but some samples contained Cr and Mo in a significant concentration which could give about 35-42 % of the NRV values. To sum up, we may conclude that temperate consumption of beer can help the supplement of the elements analysed, but we also have to consider other health effects, such as energy and alcohol content.
