Dátum:2019
Megjegyzések:A health promoting intervention study was started in a secondary school in 2016, within the intervention group participants in health promotion sessions, while health behaviour and health knowledge are assessed in both the intervention and control groups year after year. The purpose of this poster presentation is to show the results we optained at the end of the 2nd year of our study regarding the health-related knowledge of the students. Our study population consists of those students who started their studies in the autumn of 2016 (n=106, boys 46.2%, girls 53.8%; 50.9% belong to the intervention group). ?e data were collected using a self-developed knowledge test during the spring of 2018. The test included topics on healthy eating, physical activity, sexuality and risk behaviour. To examine the effectiveness of our intervention the level of knowledge was compared between the intervention and control groups. Due to methodological reason binary logistic regression (adjusted for gender, types of institution and socio-economic status) was used for data analysis. ?e test scores of the students were dichotomized based on the tertiles, scores at the higher tertile were considered "high". We found a significant association between the students' participation in the health promoting program, and the achieved total test score (OR: 11.84; 95%CI: 1.90-73.99), the scores on the healthy eating (OR: 4.61; 95%CI: 1.14-18.64) and sexuality (OR: 7.46; 95%CI: 1.12-49.83) parts of the test. These associations were not observed for the total (OR: 3.94; 95%CI: 0.60- 25.90) and sexuality (OR: 3.38; 95%CI: 0.74-15.44) score of the test in the baseline measurement of the study. The results suggest that the intervention program increase students' health-related knowledge in general which is essential for the development of health behaviour.
